India Temples Monuments Tour

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Meeting on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi / Varanasi
In the morning, pick-up from hotel & transfer to domestic airport to board Spice Jet flight SG 603 to Varanasi.
Leaves Delhi at : 11.30 h.
Arrives Varanasi at : 12.45 h.
Meeting on arrival and transfer to Hotel.
In the afternoon, excursion to Sarnath.
Sarnath -10 km from the centre of the city, Sarnath symbolises the birth of Buddhism.

Day 03 : Varanasi
Early morning, boat ride on Ganges. (if weather permits)
Later, city tour of Varanasi.
Varanasi City Tour visiting the City Temples - the Durga Temple & the Temple of Vishwanath (or Visheshwar."Lord of the Universe").

Day 04 : Varanasi / Khajuraho
Morning free.
In the afternoon, transfer to the airport to board Jet Airways flight 9W 723 to Khajuraho.
Leaves Varanasi at : 12.20 h.
Arrives Khajuraho at : 13.00 h.
Meeting on arrival and transfer to Hotel.
In the afternoon, visit western temple of Khajuraho.
Khajuraho is known for its magnificent temples, which are among the most creative examples of Indian architecture. Built between 950 and 1050 A.D., only 22 temples out of 85 now survive. The main temples are Kandariya Mahadeo, Chitragupta, Parsvanath and the Ghantai Temples.

Day 05 : Khajuraho
In the morning, visit the Eastern temples.
Afternoon free.

Day 06 : Khajuraho / Jhansi / Gwalior
After breakfast, drive to Orcha - 4h and visit:
Orcha - Once the Capital city of powerful Rajput kingdom. The main palaces were protected inside fortified walls on an island in the Betwa River. The Palaces (The Jehangir Mahal, The Raj Mahal, Raj Praveen Mahal). The impressive Chhatris (cenotaphs) to orchha's rulers, down the Betwa River are worth visiting.
In the afternoon, drive to the Jhansi railway station - 45 min to board the train Shatabadi express to Gwalior.
Leaves Jhansi at : 17.56 h.
Arrives Gwalior at : 19.00 h.
Meeting on arrival and transfer to Hotel.

Day 07 : Gwalior / Agra
In the morning, visit the Gwalior Fort & Gujari Palace. Later see Jai Vilas Palace, the residence of Scindia family (Former Maharaja's of Gwalior) and now 35 rooms of this palace have been converted into a museum.
After the visit, drive to Agra -3h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.
In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal.

Day 08 : Agra / Bharatpur
In the morning, visit the Agra Fort.
After the visit, drive to Fatehpur Sikri - 1h and visit:
Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital.
After the visit, continue to Bharatpur - 45 min and check-in at Hotel.

Day 09 : Bharatpur / Jaipur
In the morning, drive to Jaipur -5h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.
In the afternoon visit the Amber Fort en-route photo shop at Hawa Mahal.

Day 10 : Jaipur / Bikaner
In the morning, visit City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar (Observatory).
After the visit, drive to Bikaner - 6h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.

Day 11 : Bikaner / Jaisalmer
In the morning, visit Junagarh Fort and Devi Kund.
After the visit drive to Jaisalmer - 5h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.

Day 12 : Jaisalmer
In the morning, city tour of Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer: The citadel city built in the 12th century is an architectural dream in yellow sandstone lying in the lonely silence of the Thar Desert. The Forts and palaces and several superbly carved Jain Temples in and around Jaisalmer are all reminiscent of a glorious history. Visit also Gadi Sagar tank, the oasis which let Prince Jaisal to settle there.
In the afternoon, drive to Khuri - 1h and view the sunset on the dunes.

Day 13 : Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
In the morning, drive to Jodhpur -5h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Mehrangarh Fort & Jaswant Thada.

Day 14 : Jodhpur / Mount Abu
After breakfast, drive to Mount Abu - 5h and check-in at Hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Dilwara temple - it opens at 12.00
Mount Abu: Rajsthan's only hill station sprawls along a 1200 m high plateau in the south of the state, close to the Gujarat border. Visit Dilwara Temples- these Jain Temples are Mount Abu's main attractions and amongst the finest examples of Jain archictecture in India. The complex includes two temples, in which the art of carving marble reached unsurpassed heights.

Day 15 : Mount Abu / Udaipur
In the morning, drive to Udaipur - 4h. On arrival, check-in at Hotel.
In the afternoon, boat ride on Lake Pichola. (On direct payment)

Day 16 : Udaipur / Delhi
In the morning, city tour of Udaipur.
Visit City Palace Museum, Jagdish Temple & Sahelion Ki Bari.
After the visit, transfer to the airport to board Jet Airways flight 9W 708 to Delhi.
Leave Udaipur at : 15.30 h.
Arrive Delhi at : 16.40 h.
Meeting on arrival and transfer to the International airport to board your flight back home.
